Rates & Details

First things first. Will my services work for you logistically? When I’m in your shoes, I don’t want to find out more about what’s available until I know if I can afford it or drive there or make it work with my schedule.

Logistics

  • I offer therapy both online and in person.

Online is best for those who

    • want to work with me, no matter where in the Atlanta metro area (and throughout the state of Georgia, for that matter) you live.

    • want to make time for therapy, but not for a commute.

    • To get the most out of telehealth sessions, it’s also important to be comfortable with digital documents and communicating through video calls.

Working in person is best for those who:

    • feel most comfortable in person.

    • prefer pen and paper to digital documents and forms.

    • feel a drive (even on I-285 if necessary!) is worth it to be in the same place.

  • Monday & Wednesday 1 pm - 8 pm
Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9 am - 5 pm
    Saturday 9 am - 11 am

  • No. I wish insurance companies were ethical partners that prioritized highest quality care with reasonable reimbursement rates but that has not been my experience.

I can provide you with a superbill you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement.

If you plan to do this, call them first to find out how much they’ll reimburse you and whether that will work with your budget.

  • $175 per 50-minute individual session
    $260 per 75-minute couples’ session

  • This is highly dependent on the individual, but it’s reasonable to anticipate 12-18 sessions for each area of focus.

If you’re interested in options for making the process as speedy as possible, let me know when we meet and I can offer some options.

How to Get Started

  • I offer a free, 20-minute consultation call to learn about your goals and determine whether or not I think I can help you get there. I’ll ask you to tell me about the things that are bothering you and how you’d like them to be different, then give you a chance to ask me any questions you might have.

Consultation calls for both telehealth and in-person therapy are available online. If we decide it would be a good fit, we can meet for future sessions either online or in person.

  • One totally viable option is to just show up! It will be a helpful meeting no matter what.

If you want to get the most out of it that you can, it might be helpful to give some thought ahead of time to the problems that are bringing you in.

Think about any recent experiences that upset you.

Have you lost sleep over a conversation with a friend? Have an awful day at work? Was there a tipping point when you realized you wanted things to change?

  • Between our consultation call and our first session, I’ll ask you to fill out a comprehensive diagnostic assessment. This will take some time on your part (about 45 minutes) but will speed up our process of getting to know one another and getting focused on your goals.

Our first session will mostly be a review of your answers and a chance for you to tell me about the details of your life and the things that are bothering you.

  • Every treatment path is a little bit different but everyone starts out with an intake process. After our consultation call, you’ll complete a diagnostic assessment that covers a range of possible concerns and will start to give me a sense of how you see yourself and the world and other people. In our first full session, we’ll look over that together and give you a chance to elaborate on the answers you gave, and we’ll talk a bit about your background and your current life outside of therapy.

Once I have at least a starting foundation in who you are and what matters to you, we’ll start looking at your goals for treatment.

Once I know that, I’ll ask you some questions to help us focus on some concrete examples. The more specific we get, the more helpful therapy tends to be. By zeroing in on a moment in time when something was bothering you, we can often make huge changes that will affect how you’re seeing things the next time something similar comes up.

For example, if you’re overwhelmed and stressed at work, we’ll talk in depth about a specific day, even a specific two-minute window when you were feeling that way. When we do that, we’ll be able to figure out more about what was going on that made that day so stressful and work together to change that.
